Printing packages now available...

I know how frustrating finding a great printing service can be. I've tested out countless photo labs and commercial printers trying to find just one that had high quality prints at reasonable prices- without sky high minimums. So after getting back dozens of splotchy photos and graphics in weird colors I feel like I finally hit the jackpot!! Gorgeous, professional quality photos with crisp graphics that look exactly like they should.

I just listed a few packages and I have a few more in the works. In a week or two I'll also be listing a collection of paper samples so you can see the different finishes and colors first hand-no more guessing game!!!

Here's some new holiday cards that I listed the other day...

In the works...

Here's a little peek at what I'm working on...

I'm hoping to finish up this collection within the next week or two. It was inspired by a vintage wallpaper pattern that I came across. I have a couple more prints that I'm working on to go along with it, but I've been a little short on time this week so I haven't gotten too much done.

Individual Templates Now Available...

I had a couple people contact me today about purchasing individual templates for personal use. Initially I was only going to offer templates in collections for photographers but after thinking on it for a bit I decided that selling individual templates would work out for everyone. So if you have Photoshop or Photoshop elements and you want the freedom to play around with the photo layout and colors on your card then purchasing a template would be your best option.

Here’s the details…
All cards in my shop are available in template format. They will be emailed to you as a layered psd. file so you must have Photoshop/Photoshop elements to use my templates. Pricing on individual templates will be the same as individual cards but I will be offering a discount on multiple purchases.

Of course the standard terms of use will still apply…
Templates are for personal use or for use by professional photographers only. They are not for resale and may not be used to create cards for resale. Colors, photo layout, and text layers may all be altered, however changes may not be made to the design itself (basically you cannot add your own design elements to the templates and call the cards your own) . I hold the copyright to all designs in my shop.

5x7 Photo Card/Invitation Templates
1 template $15
2 + templates $12 each
4 + templates $10 each

Mommy Card Templates
1 card $12
2+ cards $8 each

Individual templates can be purchased on Etsy, simply type “Template” in the message to seller section during checkout. If you are interested in purchasing multiple templates contact me with the names and listing numbers of the cards you are interested in and I will email you an invoice reflecting the discounted price.

Holiday 2009 Templates Available...

Just listed this set of 6 Photoshop templates for professional photographers.
The set is $55.

Each template is 5x7 with a 1/8" bleed. Text and photo layers are fully editable and colors can be changed on design elements giving you lots of versatility with each template. The great thing about these is that they can be used well beyond the holidays. The Snowflake and Penguin templates make adorable birth announcements throughout the winter season and with just a few minor changes to color and text the other 4 templates can be used throughout the year. I'll pop back in a little later tonight or tomorrow and post a few samples to show you what can be done with these.

Holiday Photos

This is my little guys first Christmas so I’m extra excited about sending out holiday cards this year. I’ve been daydreaming about colors, layouts and photo props for months now. I have a list of requirements- Of course it has to be cute, super cute in fact, but with a touch of sophistication.
It also has to be classic, beautifully timeless, while still having a clean, modern appeal.

Kind of a tall order but I’m optimistic that I can work it all out. I’ve already scouted out the perfect moss covered forest and I bought a vintage wooden sled with bright red runners to plop him on. Now all I have to do is cross my fingers that we get a bit of snow in the next couple weeks (and come up with a back up plan if we don’t!).
In need of some holiday photo inspiration? Here’s some props that I think would be perfect in holiday photos…

1. You can't ever go wrong with a hand knit baby hat in a holiday photo. Etsy has tons of adorable ones, this ones from Simply Basic Designs .
2. If my little guy was small enough he would be tucked in this bowl for sure! Love the grain of the wood, it would be perfect with a furry white blanket. From Target.
3. Great for babies that are sitting and crawling, these striped legwarmers scream Christmas. From Baby Once.
4. Christmas balls (unbreakable of course) are great for scattering around your little nested baby. Shades of gold and cream add the perfect touch of sparkle to a neutral palette. From Target.
5. I love this chunky knit diaper cover! Perfect if you don't want to brave the potential mess of going sans diaper. From Kikis Kreations.
6. Glass glitter letters and numbers from Tinsel Trading Company would look beautiful hanging above a sleeping little one. You can spell out holiday words, their name, or even their date of birth. You could even mix in some glittery snowflakes or stars.
7. Cable knit booties are the perfect holiday take on those sweet feet closeups. From Baby Gap.
8. Love, Love, Love this trapper hat!! From Baby Gap.
9. This sheepskin pelt looks so soft and cozy. Put it in bowls, crates, baskets, or wrap your little one up in it. From Target.
10. Just like my vintage one, this sled is great for posing little ones. Drape it with fur for those newbies or take it out in the elements and let you LO's have a blast in the snow. From L.L. Bean.
11. The perfect, big bear for snuggling up to. From Amazon.
12. Snugly angora pom pom scarf would be wonderful for wrapping up little ones without breaking the bank. From Charlotte Russe.
